Linear Foot Pricing
Charging based on how many linear feet of a trailer the customer's goods occupy.
Used primarily on consolidated long-distance moves where multiple shipments share a trailer. Rate per linear foot (typically $80–$200) covers transport; weight or cubic footage covers loading/unloading. Crews mark off the customer's allocated trailer space with a bulkhead.
