Overhead Allocation
The portion of fixed business costs charged against each job to capture true profitability.
Rent, insurance, software, admin payroll don't map to a specific job — but they have to be recovered. Common methods: percentage of revenue (10–20%), per-hour ($15–$40 per labor hour), or per-job flat ($75–$150). Without allocation, businesses think they're profitable when they aren't.
